Alice to be remake by Tim Burton and a Horror movie.
And the most anticipated one is the Movie based on the game American Mcgee's Alice! For those who have't heard of it..The game is a sequel to the original Alice books and tells the the story of a now teenage Alice who as gone psycho after her family's house burn down leaving her in a Asylum. She once agains follows the White Rabbid only to arrive in Wonderland that's now a Total nightmare hell.. thanks to the Queen of Hearts turning into a blood thirsty tyrant. She soon goes into bloody journey and nightmarish journey to restore wonderland AND her own Sanity .. freeing her from her mental state in the real world.
This will one will directed by Marcus Nispel and will feature Sarah Michelle Gellar as Alice and Jean Marsh as the Queen of hearts. Own by Universal Studios .. it was once supposed to be directed by Wes Craven . It is supposed to premiere in July 2008 but it may get push to next year.
Our little girl is growing up :) (ain't she cute with the knife?) and both versions will be a treat to those of who grew up watching the disney film. Just don't confuse both movies as they feature the same Gothic Artstyle. ONCE AGAIN....THESE ARE 2 DIFFERENT MOVIES BASED ON ALICE..THE DISNEY REMAKE AND THE ONE BASED ON THE HORROR GAME THAT IS NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH TIM BURTON.

Man... talk about material suited to Tim Burton's sensibilities, to quote Korey there. Both look really intense, and that was one of my favorite Disney movies! Sweet.

Mines too!! And for me .. Disney Alice grew to be the American Mcgee's Alice. (why? somebody beat me school when they caught me reading it. Result.. I when Emo and saw the blood thirsty game..as for the bully who beat me? He read Harry Potter and he is now Gay.)

I loved the original books and Disney's animated version. This would have been good news if I heard it about ten years ago. I think Tim Burton's unique style is practically everywhere now, making less interesting and pretty annoying. The last movie by Burton I really enjoyed was Ed Wood and that was in 1994. The rest of his movies after that have been mediocre or crap.

I really grew tired of him after Big Fish (although as far back as Batman Returns he was starting to wear on me). He's become the go-to guy for using the movie to distract from the story. I love so many of his films, but lately I've been rolling my eyes every time I hear his name mentioned.
Maybe if he did a movie that wasn't a remake (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory), ripoff (Corpse Bride), or adaptation (Sweeney Todd) I could look forward to one of his films again.
