I wished Shoot em up had a bigger Boxoffice gross, I laugh of ass off at those Bloody scenes

All Harry Potter's
Both Tomb Raiders

The last film I ever HAD to see with my parents was opening night of the original Star Wars in 1977. I was 8 years old. After that I could be dropped off and meet my friends in front of the theater and be picked up as soon as it was over. Small towns are great.

This year? I've seen most the movies I've seen this year on opening night. Only one of them was a "had to", which I will list first:
Grindhouse (woke up bright and early to see it), The Simpsons Movie, Reno 911, Aqua Teen Hunger Force CMFFT, Superbad, Hostel 2, Halloween, Transformers, Knocked Up. There's probably more somewhere.

Cloverfield was the most recent. Also, Spiderman 3, and the first TMNT movie, but I was only like 10 or so at that point.

I'll only count midnight releases for this one, otherwise this post would be huge... But for those "special openings"...

Snakes on a Plane (camped out, the stupidest funniest thing ever, especially when people would go "What, you're camping-out for that?")
