It's a close tie between Cloverfield & Rambo for me.
But Cloverfield was in first in my top 5 movies of 2008 so far... Here's the article:

WHY CLOVERFIELD? It came really down to the end. But Cloverfield eeked out a win after Rambo because of the hype and the outcome of the movie.

Didn't they already make a movie like Teeth? Some low-rent, soft-core movie about some girl getting over being raped?
I used to work at a Hastings and my buddy rented it to see if the silly premise was true- it was, and it was weird.

So far I liked Cloverfield and Definitely, Maybe. I saw Be Kind Rewind, and I really enjoyed it for what it was, but I don't think it'll make my 'best of' by the end of this year. And man, I really wasn't planning on it, but Spill has really made me wanna see Rambo. ...When it's out on DVD.

im in New Zealand so we are only just getting movies like No Country for old men, there will be blood all those great movies from 07 are still only just being released, its sucks ass. ( but i have still seen them all muuuaahaahaa!)
so i cant really say what my fav film of 2008 is cos i ant seen any :( we are a day a head of the whole world but so so far behind hmmm you could say "tomorrow in a world far far from today" now thats a movie title!
