I haven't seen that many movies this year, but I'm gonna say Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I haven't seen Rambo or Cloverfeild, they don't look like my kind of movies.
But you should have waited a little bit. Some of the good movies look like they're coming out later. Step Brothers, Mama Mia, Revolutionary Road.
And lets not forget Disaster Movie and High School Musical 3.
Cloverfield is a good 2008 movie for a monster film but Iron Man is good for a comic to the silver screen film. These movies can't and shouldn't be compare because these are just totally different in every way.
I'm back to put in my two cents. Just watched a couple that i would put up in the best of the year hands down.
In Bruges, this move made me giggle tremendously and the ending almost made me cry i laughed so hard. Not only was it funny but it was written very well. The dialog with all the characters was classic and its something i could watch over and over and over. "LOOK, there filming midgets........shut up Ken, Midgets"
Iron man was classic to, perfect casting and just enough character build up. Action was great and the actors worked amazing together.
Dark Knight.....im just going to say that im going need at least 4 changes of clothes during this movie when it comes out. If its good, well it will be like a 2 hour orgasm non stop, if its bad, 2 hour to 3 week shit fest, and not the fun, Black glove, kind that Cyrus brought up in LEOG.
1 In Bruges
2 Iron Man
3 Kung Fu Panda
4 Incredible Hulk
5 Wall-E
My Top 5 so far this year. Wall-E and Hulk will probably drop out pretty soon but I could see Kung Fu Panda and Iron staying in the Top 5 for awhile, if not the whole year. I loved In Bruges enough where I can almost guarentee it won't fall from my top 5.
Now, I live in a small town of about 30,000. We have one theatre, and it's not bad, the screens are good, lighting, etc.but lately it's been passing up on good movies for shit ones. About half of the ones that are playing now are crappy, uninspired…
