the matrix revolutions. alot of people are still scratching their heads. on a lighter note the last fight between NEO and Smith showed me that a Dragonball Z movie would rock. somebody get on that.
Five Words: "NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MAN". THis movie was 96% good, up to the end. If they wold have ended it better, then it would have been #1 on my list of my top 10 films of the year (in which i will name them at the end of the year). This movie needed an ending, and have the characters, as cyrus said, the characters needed to finish their arc of the story. This was just plain Bull Shit. To me, it felt like a girl was teasing me to have sex with where till the very end, she ended up giving me blue balls. It might make my top ten, but it will definitely not be on my top 5.
I recently saw the abominably atrocious adaptation of one of my favorite books, Breakfast Of Champions.
The first hour was the worst. And the second hour? That was the worst too. Toward the end things started to really decline.
I mean come on! Who walked away from that book and thought, "Gee, this was great. And it lends itself easily adaptation too! But you know what it really needs? Positive life lessons! Everyone should learn something from it and become better people. Just like in Barney! There's no way that will piss anyone off, even if it does betray Vonnegut's statement of purpose written right there in the book."
Several times throughout that movie, I found myself disassembling my sofa for things to throw at the floor in anger, but the ending was by far the worst of its cinematic crimes.
Also I thought the droning, Crash-style montages at the end of Inland Empire kinda sucked. But they at least made up for it with a lively musical number during the closing credits.
Stephen King's IT, the one with the creepy clown? yeah it wasent nearly as creepy as i tought, it was really boring and then the ending, A GIANT SPIDER !? WHAT THE FUCK!? the clown dissapeared and we get a giant spider with light coming out of its chest, a GIANT SPIDER that gets punched to death by 3 middle aged guys and a middle aged woman.
Again, the rest of the movie sucks, so I think what we should find here is an otherwise quality movie that falls apart at the end. I don't remember the movie version of Needful Things, but if it was like the book, that might take it...suddenly the sheriff has magical powers that were absolutely out of nowhere.
Revolutionary \Road had the worst ending I/ve ever seen not one thing was resolved so I sat through 2 hours for absolutly nothing the two main charactors learned nothing at all they were the same bitchy people from beginning to end what rip titatanic this is not!
