If it's crap... We'll tell you

There was a post similar to this on Cinematical the other day and it got me thinking. I tend to find myself on the more sensitive side of the male movie audience and tear up more often than would be in stereotypical alignment and I'm curious, guys: what movies rip you apart? Is it something you're ashamed to admit or do you have no problem admitting that yes, indeed, you too sometimes "get something in your eye"?

My all-time breakdown movie is 'Big Fish'. Albert Finney reminds me of my Dad, and the final story just kills me. Every damn time. Kevin Costner asking his Dad to play catch in 'Field of Dreams' is also not the best of times to walk in on me. Actually, now that I reflect, most of my problems come with Dad scenes. Johnny Depp's message to his Dad in 'Blow' comes to mind.

(For you old-schoolers, I know there was a similar thread last September, but the community has grown a lot since then. For the record, the wife had me watch Grave of the Fireflies and I was fairly useless by the end of it.)

(Also wik: I'd love to see Doc Doom comment on this.)

The ending to Green Street Hooligans had me tearing.
When i was a younger, A Little Princess did the trick. It still does actually.

American History X made me tear up a little at the end. We'll keep that a secret between me and you, cuz as we both know Nixon never sobs.

but I remember sobbing like a baby the most at The Deer Hunter

I forgot to mention Norbit. When that was over I was crying because my wife was beating me over the head with a rolling pin for making her sit through the whole thing.

I didn't cry, but the end of Back To The Future when Doc takes off his labcoat was pretty emotional for me.

Rocky, that kind of competition and sportsmanship among peers is very rare.

American History X for sure. The ending to be more specific, right when you think everything might turn out happily ever after, the ending just throws you a curve ball. And it's hurts.

This is not an easy movie to review. I think it is targeted to a very specific audience. I'll begin with the ratings and you'll see what I mean: 5/5 for physicists and mathematicians 4/5 for bioinformaticsts, computational biologists, computational…

I'm going to be in North Hills later today and was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to eat in the area or anything else to do there. I'm meeting my aunt for lunch, but then I figured I would drive around a little bit before I come back home…
