There was a post similar to this on Cinematical the other day and it got me thinking. I tend to find myself on the more sensitive side of the male movie audience and tear up more often than would be in stereotypical alignment and I'm curious, guys: what movies rip you apart? Is it something you're ashamed to admit or do you have no problem admitting that yes, indeed, you too sometimes "get something in your eye"?

My all-time breakdown movie is 'Big Fish'. Albert Finney reminds me of my Dad, and the final story just kills me. Every damn time. Kevin Costner asking his Dad to play catch in 'Field of Dreams' is also not the best of times to walk in on me. Actually, now that I reflect, most of my problems come with Dad scenes. Johnny Depp's message to his Dad in 'Blow' comes to mind.

(For you old-schoolers, I know there was a similar thread last September, but the community has grown a lot since then. For the record, the wife had me watch Grave of the Fireflies and I was fairly useless by the end of it.)

(Also wik: I'd love to see Doc Doom comment on this.)

I'll be honest only one movie pulled this trick on me and that was, The Last Samurai.
Brians Song. Will make almost any man cry.
I've cried to two movies...

Rudy: When all of the players are putting their jerseys on the coach's desk so Rudy could be on the roster for their last game, I started to tear up... Then when Rudy read his name on the roster and started to freak out, I started to cry

Platoon: When Elias is chasing after the chopper after being shot by Barnes... The score alone could make me cry, but the whole scene... I just lost it
If you need a good cry, then just find Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings." That's the basis for most of the film score to Platoon.
Damn, you aren't kidding... I'm getting chills just listening to this
I think the three movies that really made me cry were:

Bambi: When Bambi's mother died.

Bicenntenial man: Just everyone going up and dying. I know the movie isn't that great but it's just all these people that you knew as they grew up and then you watch them die.

Sam I Am: I guess the whole point of the movie is to make you cry.

I think those were the only movies that I cried at.
Field of Dreams. I mean c'mon - getting to play one more game of catch with your Dad, years after he died. The ending of this movie unhinged me.
Two words. Iron. Giant.

SOOOOOOOOOPERMAAAAAAAAAN!
Yeah i remember crying to that part.
Yup - that one too.
God I love that movie
You are not a gun, now choose! It was pretty damn sad too as I remember
I must admit when I was 9 or 10 I nearly cried at Monsters Inc.
"Kitty!"
Right there with you man, I love the hell out of that movie.
