If it's crap... We'll tell you

The Democratic primary is getting interesting. Obama's got more states than Hillary but her few states are key states (New York, California, New Hampshire). This puts her ahead of Obama but it's still anyone's race. I live in Virginia and our democrats are divided. While most of the liberal dems are in favor of Obama, Hillary is using the pull of her name and status as a woman to try to give her an edge. I'm not being discriminatory, but that's how it workd with common people. My mother wants Hillary in the Presidential race because she's a woman. I'm very dissapointed in her.

Obama is what we need. The Republicans know they can't win the Presidency if Obama is running. They want Hillary because the Clinton name carries a lot of baggage with it in the eyes of the people. A large part of her success is the endorsment of her husband Bill Clinton, who most of America loved. Obama is getting by on raw political drive moreso than Hillary, has pwned several other democratic candidates in discussions, and had made use of the media to get his name and face out. The Superbowl, the Daily Show, he even has the approval of liberal political shows like Bill Maher. Don't let the fact that he's making you laugh fool you, Bill puts forth a lot of politics and logic.

I sound like I'm pushing Obama here, and by and large I am. I'm a liberal democrat, I feel that Obama is the best hope for change in our government. If you don't agree with me, please feel free to put forth your argument for Hillary or another democratic candidate (this is a democrat thread after all) and make your case. Let's get a political dialogue going, eh?

In closing, Obama for '08!

I have to go for Obama. I agree that he's got a wide Democratic appeal, and can bring over more independants and moderate Republicans, as opposed to Hillary, who is just so damn off-putting. I really think we'll have a minority in office before we have a woman. That being said, I would love if they were on the ticket together.

God help us if Mitt Romney gets into office (which thankfully, isn't looking good.)

I lived in Utah for eight years.

Holy Christ on a cracker.

At least Romney dropped. Granted it's one less candidate to confuse Republican voters but at least it's one less.

I think he dropped because he wants to be picked as running mate. thats my guess. Cause mccain aint picking huckabee.

Obama, I've met both Hilary (when i was 15) and Obama. I met Obama when he ran for the US Senate in 2004 and I liked the vibe I got from him. Hilary already shot herself in the foot by trying to fuck with videogames and jump on the lets burn GTA bandwagon. She also is similar to Bush in that she didn't get here by her own merit. She got here because she married the man that ended up being President. Bush was the son of a President and look where we're at now.

So I think Obama will be the right man for the job, I just wish he had served in uniform

You dont need to be a vet to be president. it helps a little aas it adds to your credibility. clinton was a good CIC Im glad goe didnt get in mainlycause i know he's not a big fan of men in uniform. alot of military staff that wrote books hated his guts. hated hillary even more. loved bill though.

Personaly i dont like either. I am also tired of women wanting Clintin to win because she is a women. Who cares if its a man or women, or what race they are. What matters is who can do the job, and honestly i dont think Clintin or Obama can do the job they both acted like children. But i suppose ill vote for who ever is in the election we dont need another stupid Republican.

They both stink. Hilary is a two faced doppleganger and Obama just ain't the guy. Plus Obamas wife is gonna fuck him over with her goofy activity.

I can't say much about this election, especially since I am Canadian... All I have to say is that I hope that American voters will be able to elect the candidate which will be able to handle all the damage that was caused in the last eight years and turn things around for their country. At this point, it seems like quite an amazing feat. If I were American, my vote would sway to Obama or Edwards. Is Edwards still in the race? It seems like no one talks about him anymore.

He dropped out about a week ago, I think.

Neither!!! Thats like choosing wether to jump of a building or falling down stairs!!!!!!
I wanted Mitt Romney first of all. McCain did clean up whatever he did, and Giuliani I think did a fine damn job during 9/11.
Kudos to you man but if the conservitive party really thinks there the better one thats pretty sad.

I wholeheartedly agree. Guiliani did a fantastic job posing for photos on 9/11.
