If it's crap... We'll tell you

Or is it?
This will be spoiler filled, as well.
I was mostly into it, except for the drawn out emotional crap in between the destruction and mayhem. That was until you find out it is more a Noah's Ark thing. I assumed that the world was going to blow up and they were going to ride out of there at hyperspeed giving a big, hearty yeeeeehaw!
I wanted to see the planet go out with a bang, not a sploosh.
End of the world, my butt.
Also, this movie was definitely a bit long in the tooth. It seriously dragged in the middle a few times, making me want the end to come sooner just so I wouldn't have to endure the whiny, emotional crap.
I saw it in a packed house, and everyone seemed to at least like it. So did I. I just don't think it lived up to its hype.
I give it a matinee. The effects alone make it worth seeing once on the bigscreen, just make sure you get your nap in before you see it.
Maybe an adult diaper...

Honestly, I guess eating at the Drafthouse kills time. I didn't notice the length of the movie until driving home and seeing that our showtime started at 11 we were coming home at a little after 2. I thought the movie was fun and almost like a thrill ride to bad it's not in 3-D. I had a smirk on my face throughout most of the movie, turned off my brain and I guess that's okay once in a while. I like to go to the movies to get away from reality and this flick does just that. As far as hype goes I think most people know what they are getting into when it's a Rowland flick. With the emotional crap...yep it's campy but at least it gives you a break between mindless CG effects. Mike Bay should take note. I enjoy the fact that this movie along with Knowing throws all that Earth saving right back at people. We are at the will of Mother Nature..enjoy the ride.
